Platlet Rich Fibrin Treatments
Platelet Rich Fibrin (also known as PRF therapy) is a a new cosmetic treatment for aging lines, fine lines and facial or neck wrinkles. This innovative skin rejuvenation technique uses your own blood cells instead of a synthetic alternative. PRF can also be effectively used as a filler for under-eye hollows and deflated cheeks.
PRF can help restore loss of elasticity and volume of your skin along with evening skin tone and texture to counter the effects of age or acne on the skin. PRF is increasingly used either in conjunction with or as an alternative to dermal fillers and micro-needling.
PRF is a second-generation advance on Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy containing a higher concentration of platelets, fibrin and white blood cells. Additionally, PRF includes a small percentage of stem cells, which cannot be found in traditional PRP therapy. PRF is 100% natural with no additives.
Candidates
Most people are good candidates for PRF. The treatment can be used on all skin types and is designed to treat a variety of skin conditions, including fine lines and wrinkles, light scarring from acne and photo damage as well as to improve skin color and other skin texture changes. PRF can be right for anyone who has lost youthful glow and is concerned about signs of aging in the face or neck.
Procedure
We will collect blood from you and place it in a vial. The vial is then placed in a centrifuge, which spins and causes your platelet rich fibrins to separate from the blood. The platelet rich fibrin that is produced from the centrifugation is then used as an injection to help regenerate new tissue.
Recovery
Healing PRF recovery requires no downtime. After treatment, some redness, mild irritation or swelling may occur. This is a sign that your skin is healing itself and any reactions of this kind should subside and disappear within a few days or even as soon as a few hours after treatment. Most people see results within one month of their first treatment, with a common regimen consisting of three treatments spaced 6-8 weeks apart.
